Summary of Changes from Previous Version

9 April 2024: Reference to “branded” Code of Conduct removed. Approved as administrative amendment, University Secretary.

8 April 2024:  Note added at top of Code to clarify audience and scope. Approved by Council, 1 March 2024.

4 October 2023:  Reference to Public Interest Disclosures Act 1994 in Clause 10 replaced with Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022. Administrative amendment, approved by University Secretary.

The Code has been updated to ensure and reflect our strategic priorities and commitments outlined in Looking Ahead; reporting obligations in relation to wrongdoing, unacceptable conduct and misconduct; ramifications for conduct in breach of the Code; freedom of speech and academic freedom; foreign interference; application of the Code to social media; and information and resources available to assist staff and students in understanding and applying the Code.
