Summary of Changes from Previous Version

2 July 2020:  UON changed to University. Approved, Director Assurance Services.

This is the first version of this document to be published in the new UON Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect at the time the new Policy Library was launched. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system.

The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication in the new UON Policy Library:

25 June 2018:  Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) approved extension of review date to 30 June 2020.

12 October 2015 - Re-drafted and re-formatted as part of a routine review. The Policy was re-badged as a guideline in accordance with the proposal approved in principle by Academic Senate (AS15:012). Academic Senate also approved the reallocation of approval authority to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (R&I) (AS15:012). The revised Guideline was endorsed by the Research Integrity Accountability Sub-Committee at its meeting on 18 September 2015 and approved by DVCRI.

25 July 2012 - Academic Senate - Amended Policy Sponsor and Policy Owner titles to reflect structural changes, 7 July 2015

Amendments (as pre Doc RC12:67) approved by Academic Senate, 25 July 2012.

Changes in terminology from “general” to “professional” staff, approved by the Vice-Chancellor 21 February 2012, effective 1 January 2012.
