Master of Pharmacy Schedule

Section 1 - Classification

(1) The degree of Master of Pharmacy shall be a degree by coursework offered in the Faculty of Health.

Section 2 - Admission to Candidature

(2) An applicant for admission to candidature shall:

  1. have satisfied the requirements for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences in the University or to any other relevant degree at a standard approved for this purpose by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Head of School; and/or
  2. possess such other qualifications or professional experience, and/or other relevant attributes as may be approved by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Head of School; and
  3. have completed such other work prescribed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Head of School.

Section 3 - Qualification for the Degree

(3) To qualify for admission to the Master of Pharmacy, a candidate shall satisfactorily complete a program of study approved by the Academic Senate totalling not less than 240 units.

Section 4 - Credit

(4) Credit for elective courses will only be granted for courses undertaken at 6000 level.

Section 5 - Program Duration

(5) Except with the permission of the Pro Vice-Chancellor a candidate shall complete the program within 4 years of study from the date of commencement.
