Summary of Changes from Previous Version

15 May 2019: Definition of Intellectual Property updated.

This is the first version of this document to be published in the new UON Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect at the time the new Policy Library was launched. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system.

The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication in the new UON Policy Library:

25 June 2018: Minor administrative amendments to rectify links within the document. Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) approved extension of review date to 30 June 2020.

4 November 2015 - Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) - Re-drafted and re-formatted as part of a routine review. The Policy was re-badged as a guideline. The revised Guideline was endorsed by the Research Integrity Accountability Sub-Committee at its meeting on 18 September 2015 and approved by DVC R&I.

30 May 2012 - Administrative amendments made to update titles 21 July 2015. Amendment to clause 3.2, additional hyperlinks, minor corrections and change of Approval Authority. Approved by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research)

30 May 2012 [Doc. RC12:18] Hunter Medical Research Institute: Publicity and Promotion Media Policy 000642, deleted 15 September 2011, was replaced by an internal protocol from 2009. Approved by Manager, Media and Public Relations 31 August 2011.
