Summary of Changes from Previous Version

7 October, 2022: Assistant Dean (Teaching and Learning) replaced with Assistant Dean (Education). Approved as administrative amendment, University Secretary.

12 July 2022:  Clause 6 amended. Approved as administrative amendment, President Academic Senate.

15 September, 2021:  Clause 8,9 and 23 updated to replace references to Assistant Dean (Research Training) with Dean of Graduate Research. Clause 9e removed. Approved as administrative amendment by University Secretary.  

25 March 2021: Faculty changed to College throughout.  Approved as administrative amendment, University Secretary.

18 March 2020:  Clause 2 amended to remove reference to strategic plan.  Approved as administrative amendment, Director Assurance Services.

This is the first version of this document to be published in the new UON Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect at the time the new Policy Library was launched. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system.

The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication in the new UON Policy Library:

Minor administrative amendments to update position titles and terminology – 17 November 2017.

Amended Policy Owner  Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) to Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) to update title to reflect structural changes – 3 July 2015

Minor administrative amendments to correct hyperlinks, removal of reference to rescinded policy 000113, and include that maintenance of the SMR is within the HP Records Manager System, 23 October 2014.

Minor amendment to change Policy Owner to Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and hyperlinks added to essential and related documents; The Secretariat, 1 May 2013.

Minor amendments to the definition of SACO to maintain consistency with the Student Misconduct Rule (000935). Effected by the Governance and Policy Unit 23 February 2012. 

Amended July 2011 to reflect requirements of new Student Misconduct Rule (approved May 2011) for implementation 25 July 2011 (Academic Senate 03 August 2011 – Resolution AS11:117)

Student Academic Integrity Procedure [000609] was also rescinded effective 25 July 2011 (Resolution AS11:117 and C11:097)

Amended December 2008 to include provision re B Med JMP students (Clause 4.9)
