Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This version was current at the time the migration to the the new policy library commenced, however it expired prior to the library being launched. As the document had already been converted it has been left in the history for ease of access. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system.


The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its inclusion in the new UON Policy Library:


6 July 2016 – Academic Senate approved revisions to this policy to align document with the Student Conduct Rule for immediate implementation.


8 April 2014 – Administrative amendment to Policy Contact title – 9 July 2015


14 November 2013 – Acting President of Academic Senate Rescission of sub-clause 6.1.1. effective from 1 January 2013, superseded by Clause 9.3 - Student Placements in Course Management and Assessment Procedure Manual 000996, approved Academic Senate (Doc AS13:033) 22 May 2013.


16 May 2013 – Note added that this policy is under review, The Secretariat.


12 January 2012 - Minor amendment - DVCAGR replaced by DVCA to reflect structural changes, The Secretariat, 13 May 2013.


5 January 2012 – Minor amendment to replace Essential Criteria in Course Assessment Policy with Compulsory Course Component Procedure in Clause 7 and Note (1); The Secretariat, 8 March 2013.


7 November 2011 – President of Academic Senate Minor amendment to Clause 4.1 to clarify that the Guidelines are in Section 6, Governance and Policy, 23 January 2013 8 August 2011 President of Academic Amendment to clause 7 to reflect the replacement of the Occupational Health and Safety Policy 000241 with the Work Health and Safety Policy, approved by the VC 30 March 2012. This amendment was effected by the Governance and Policy Unit 2 April 2012.


8 June 2011 – Replacement of term 'essential criteria' with term 'compulsory course component' in clause 4.2, 6.1.1 and 6.3.2. Approved by the President of Academic Senate 5 December 2011.


8 July 2011 - President of Academic Senate under delegated authority approved amendments to the definition of misconduct and clauses 5.2.9ii and 5.2.10 to ensure policy complies with the Student Misconduct Rule [000935] approved by Council 27 May 2011.


10 August 2010 – Minor amendment G&P - updating of Prohibited Employment Declaration to Commission for Children and Young People Working with Children Check - Student Declaration.


17 February 2010 – Amendments made to the Student Placement Policy approved by Academic Senate (Document number: TLC09:102c; Resolution Number: AS10:011), to incorporate information about OH&S Induction requirements.


December 2008 – Amendments to Clause 5.2 re procedure for addressing misconduct.


20 February 2008 – Amendment to Clause 4.2.
