Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This is the first version of this document to be published in the new University of Newcastle Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect from 9 September, 2014. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system.

The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication in the new University of Newcastle Policy Library:

9 September: administrative changes with additional clarification of the entry requirement.

20 August 2014: statement added to header regarding where the Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine is mentioned throughout this document, it should be read as â€~Bachelor of Medicine’ until further notice.

8 April 2014: The Chair, Teaching and Learning Committee (Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)) approved revisions to the Procedure.

24 July 2013: Amendments approved to include the series of pre-admission activities undertaken by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants, Academic Senate Resolution (AS13:81).

26 July 2012: Updated to include the Personal Qualities Assessment as approved by the President of Academic Senate under delegated authority.

3 October 2007: Changed UAI to ATAR and relevant cut-off August 2009. Approved Academic Senate 3 October 2007.
