Summary of Changes from Previous Version

23 September 2019:  Amendment to the definition of “Student Hub” – removal of “GradSchool.com”. Approved by Director, Assurance Services (Michelle Jarvie) as an administrative amendment.


This is the first version of this document to be published in the new UON Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect at the time the new Policy Library was launched. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system and removal of any reference to rescinded policy documents, including Rules rescinded by Council Resolution on 7 March 2018.


The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication in the new UON Policy Library:


3 May 2019 – minor administrative amendment to clarify clause 63 – both hardcopy and digital will be accepted. 


8 April 2014 - The Rules Governing the Administration of Assessment Items [000113] was superseded by the Rules Governing Courses and Assessment [000996], Course Management Policy [000994], Assessment Policy [000995], Course Management and Assessment Procedure Manual [000996] on 1 January 2014. References to 000113 have been replaced by the Policy Team and updated to include relevant references to the new Courses and Assessment Policy Suite.


14 November 2013 - Acting President of Academic Senate - Amendment to clause 3.3.7 approved by Acting President of Academic Senate 14 November 2013 for immediate implementation. Addition of Clause 3.7A


12 January 2012 - Addition of Clause 3.2.2 (iv) as approved under delegated authority 12 January 2012.


5 January 2012 - Removal of links to rescinded policy documents Course Outlines Policy 000587 and Special Circumstances Affecting Assessment Items Procedure 000641.


5 January 2012. 7 November 2011 - President of Academic Senate - Minor amendment approved by President of Academic Senate under delegated authority.


8 August 2011 - President of Academic - Minor typographical amendments and Clause 3.9.7 vii reworded to ensure consistency with Policy approved by President of Academic 05 August 2011, under delegated authority - does not change intent.
