Summary of Changes from Previous Version

In addition to the changes required to allow capacity for students to seek adverse circumstances where they cannot meet the compulsory attendance requirements, other stakeholder feedback was addressed with the following amendments: • Correction to unit names eg AccessAbility • Correction to policy references eg JMP Special Circumstances Affecting Assessment Procedure. • Incorporation of referral of students demonstrating chronic issues to AccessAbility for a Reasonable Adjustment Plan (RAP). • Change of terminology from Special examination to Rescheduled examination. • Inclusion of cultural days as a criteria for which adverse circumstances may be sought. • Replacement of ‘officers within the Student Hub’ with ‘University staff’. • Inclusion of Reasonable Adjustment Plan (RAP) as allowable documentation. • Inclusion of statement that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students may be exempt from providing supporting documentation on cultural or compassionate grounds. • Removal of clause requiring that student complete additional forms. • Clarity on arrangements for students granted a rescheduled exam who are then unable to attend. • Correction to clause numbering.
