Summary of Changes from Previous Version

16 July 2020: Definition of “award” updated. Administrative amendment.

This is the first version of this document to be published in the new UON Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect at the time the new Policy Library was launched. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system and removal of reference to Rules rescinded via Council Resolution on 7 March 2018.

The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication in the new UON Policy Library:

1 January 2015 - Academic Senate - 26 November 2014 - Academic Senate approved the revised Awarding with Distinction Guidelines take effect from 1 January 2015 for anyone completing their programs from Trimester 1, 2015/Block 1, 2015/Semester 1, 2015.

11 March 2013 - Governance and Policy Amended clause 3.2.1 to include undergraduate, Governance and Policy 11 March 2013.

17 September 2012 - President of Academic Senate - Addition of clause 3.5.3. to exclude the professional doctorate programs, approved by President of Academic Senate under delegated authority, 17 September 2012.

22 August 2012 - Governance and Policy - Minor amendments to update Essential Supporting documents with 000845, Governance and Policy, 22 August 2012.

23 March 2012 - Council - Bachelor of Psychological Science Schedule 000824 (listed in section 4) was rescinded and replaced with the Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Psychological Science Schedule 000979, approved by Council resolution (C12:049) 23 March 2012.

20 December 2011 - Academic Registrar - Amendments to Clause 3.5.1. and 3.5.2. Approved 20 December 2011.

14 December 2011 - Academic Registrar - GPA calculation transferred to separate guideline - Approved 14 December 2011.

15 September 2011 - Academic Registrar - First edition
