Summary of Changes from Previous Version

Please note, this version was superseded prior to migration to the new Policy Library. It was migrated over as the historic version remained publicly available at the time of the migration for administrative purposes. Readers should note the following: This edition of the Bachelor Honours Policy applies to students completing a Bachelor Honours program that was approved in 2013 or 2014 under the pre-2015 Bachelor Honours Policy (such as the Bachelor of Social Work (Honours)) and will only apply for students completing their studies at the conclusion of the 2014 academic year (including summer school 2014/2015). Note: Students completing a pre-2015 program that was not under the jurisdiction of the pre-2015 Bachelor Honours Policy may be awarded Honours in accordance with the Honours requirements as set out in the relevant program documentation or schedule (such as Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)).



Amendment History Rescission of clauses 5.3, 5.3.1 and 5.3.2 effective from 1 January 2013, superseded by sub-clauses 16.5.1 and 16.5.2 in Course Management and Assessment Procedure Manual 000996, approved Academic Senate (Doc AS13:033) 22 May 2013. This new policy replaces Embedded Honours Models Structures Policy [000743] and Structure for Model 1 Honours Programs Policy [000643], effective from 1 January 2013. Section 4.0 amended to include corrected definition for Research Component, 19 October 2012. 3 October 2012 approved under delegation (AUB1 by President of Academic Senate and reported to Senate on 7 November 2012) noting that this policy will be in the Library for a transition period until the provisions are incorporated into the Program Management Suite and relevant Schedules by the end of 2013. Transition Notes - The following sections of this policy have been incorporated into the Course Management and Assessment Policy and Procedure Manual for implementation in 2013: Section 5.1, Clause 5.1.3, Table 1: End on Honours
