Summary of Changes from Previous Version

9 December 2022:  Clause 143bi amended. Approved by President Academic Senate.


28 November 2022:  Clause 143 amended. Approved by President Academic Senate.


18 November 2022:  Amendment to provisions for supplementary assessments – clause 142 and 143. Approved by President Academic Senate.


8 November 22 – New clause 68 and 69 added, and amendments to clause 189 and 190 made to align with Academic Delegations. Approved by University Secretary.


This review included: - separation of policy from procedure to represent the sequential approach to course management and assessments; - removal of duplicated content; - update of outdated content for formal examinations to reflect current practices for 2- or 3-hour durations and for online open book examinations; - removal of appeals principles, in favour of a new Academic Appeals Policy (see above); - removal of credit information in favour of a new Academic Credit Policy (see above); - incorporation of current content from: o the Bachelor Honours Policy; o the School Assessment Body Guidelines; o the Coursework Program Teaching Qualification Guideline; and - removing quality assurance content that will be dealt with through the revised Education QA work being carried out by PVC Education Innovation.
