Summary of Changes from Previous Version

25 July 2023:  Corrections to clauses 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 40, 41, 43, 45, 49, 54.  Approved as administrative amendment by University Secretary.


30 January 2023:  Reference to DVCGEP amended to DVCG. Approved by University Secretary 30 January 2023.


8 April 2022:  amendments to Section 3 of the Governance Rule to incorporate revised functions from the Interim Constitution of the Academic Senate Rule (rescinded).  Approved by Council 25 March, 2022.


17 August 2021:  Clause 20 updated. Approved by University Secretary 11 August 2021, in accordance with Council resolution C21:051 22 June 2021.


The changes are a series of minor updates and amendments to the Governance Rule. These changes are principally required for administrative convenience and clarification in relation to elections, membership of the Academic Senate, and the process for revoking honorary degrees and awards.
