Summary of Changes from Previous Version

17 May 2024: Replaced by the Ethical Human Research Procedure Manual (recission confirmed by PAS 7.5.2024 – D24/64630)


30/05/2023: Position name changed from Ethics Officer (Human) (HREO) to Ethics Officer (Human) (EOH). Clause 39 amended to include human ethics team email address.  Approved by DVCRI 29.5.2023.


13 December 2021:  Amendments to clauses 8, 21, 23, 24, 30, 37, 39, 46, 47, 55, 57, 58, and 60 to reflect non-HREC ethics approval mechanisms, as approved by Council, 10 December 2021 (C21:130).


25 March 2021: Definition of School updated to reflect College rather than Faculty. Administrative amendment, approved by University Secretary.

This is the first version of this document to be published in the new UON Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect at the time the new Policy Library was launched. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system.
