Summary of Changes from Previous Version

25 March 2021: Definition of School updated to reflect College rather than Faculty. Administrative amendment, approved by University Secretary.

This is the first version of this document to be published in the new UON Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the version that was approved, published and in effect at the time the new Policy Library was launched. In migrating the document to the new Policy Library it was subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system and removal of reference to Rules rescinded by Council Resolution on 7 March 2018.

Minor administrative changes made to titles and hyperlinks, 8 October 2014

12 February 2014 – Minor updates made to Section 19 by Student and Academic Services to reflect decisions made by the Program and Course Approval Committee 2013 (PCAC); to correct unit value of program 10436; and maximum time for 12200 inserted to reflect approved timeframe for completion as approved by PCAC in the program documentation.

Minor amendment to title of Policy Sponsor, Governance and Policy Unit, 14 February 2013.

The Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety will be disestablished from 1 January 2012 contingent upon all students having completed the program. (Council C09:045 13 March 2009). Final student has now been completed (08/01/2013), therefore award disestablished and removed from this Schedule by Academic Senate Secretariat in accordance with the Council decision of 13/03/2009.

Section 14.1 revised to provide greater clarity and Section 19 updated to ensure 2012 relevant decisions of Academic Senate and Council are reflected in the document - approved by President of Academic Senate under delegated authority 28 November 2012.

Annotations added to clauses 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.5, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0 and 12.0 to indicate they are under review following the approval of the Bachelor Honours Policy [000990] effective from 1 January 2013, as approved on 3 October 2012 by President of Academic Senate under delegated authority AUB1.
